Hand-Carved Wooden Don Quixote Figures Featuring OURO Artesania
Item Details
A collection of hand-carved Don Quixote figures. Featured are three woode pieces including one small figurine of Don Quixote as well as a second figurine of Don Quixote with his squire Sancho Panza. The pieces are stamped to the underside ‘OURO Artesania – Made in Spain’. They are also marked ‘No. 605-1’ and ‘No. 246’. The characters are based on Cervantes’ 1605 tragicomic novel. The larger statue is also in the form of Don Quixote and a maker’s mark is not visible on this piece.
Condition
- scratching; the piece with two figures has cracking to the base and one missing arm.
