Giacomo Alessi Handmade Sicilian Ceramic Duck Motif Candlesticks

A pair of handmade duck motif candlesticks from Sicilian ceramic artist Giacomo Alessi. Each white bodied candlestick features a pair of yellow glazed stacked rings around the rim, a duck form constructed beneath the ring around the stem accented with blue spikes mimicking the wings and forming a drip tray, a blue and yellow floral design painted on the stem below the duck, and an angled round base embellished with a pair of yellow bands bordering green leaves. A hooked handle is attached to one side. The underside of each piece is hand signed Alessi Caltagirone.
