A signed limited edition offset lithograph after an original painting by well-listed and renowned American wildlife illustrator and naturalist John A. Ruthven (Cincinnati, born 1924), titled Killdeer. The print depicts one of the curious birds and three of its young making their way across a gravely land beneath the cover of a tuft of tall grasses and yellow wildflowers. The print’s title is printed to its lower center margin, and it is signed in-plate to the lower right. It is signed and numbered 563/2000 in pencil to the lower corners. The print is double-matted in brown and beige and is presented behind glass in a wooden frame with brown finish and a hanging wire attached to the verso.
