Louis Cardin Enamel on Copper Paintings
Item Details
A pair of paintings, attributed as using enamel on copper, of women and children in gardens, by artist Louis Cardin (born 1931). These pieces each render the scenes with fine splatters and dots of color, and depict a woman watching a little girl gather flowers from under the shade of a red umbrella, and another gathering greenery with a black-haired child. Both pieces are signed ‘Cardin’ to a lower edge and are presented in gold tone frames with ornately-molded foliate details, textile liners, and wires for hanging.
