A brass Tara Goddess of Peace and Protection statue. Tara is known as the Buddhist savior-goddess of compassion who works to relieve human suffering. The present statue depicts her wearing an elaborate head ornament and framed in a classic stance with her legs crossed and accompanied by two majestic lotuses, representing calm, grace and serenity. The statue is marked to the verso.
