A mixed media painting on paper of two figures by well listed American artist Robert Broderson (1920 – 1992). This painting depicts two figures surrounded by darkness. The forward facing figure stares at the viewer vacantly while holding a pipe. The second figure, who wears a hat, faces the left of the picture space and stares intently at something out of view. This monochromatic piece has a haunting quality to it. The painting is signed to the lower right in white and is unframed.
