An original signed ink drawing on thick paperboard by very well-listed American illustrator Sam Norkin (New York, 1917 – 2011), best-known for his theater sketches. This piece is titled Burning Bright, and depicts several characters from the famed Steinbeck play scattered across a stage. The piece is signed and noted ‘New Haven’ in ink to the lower right and is titled faintly to the lower left. It is signed in black ink to the lower right. The artist’s estate stamp is visible to the piece’s verso. The work is presented without matting or framing, awaiting your choice of presentation. Norkin had thousands of illustrations published in the New York Daily News, New York Herald Tribune, Boston Globe, Washington Post, and countless other publications.

- soptty discoloration to lower margin. Denting and light creasing to corners. Whiteout has been applied to some areas.
