Item Details

An antique Hawkeye insulated picnic basket. This woven picnic basket, circa early 1900s, features dark stained wood, hinged lid, a pair of movable bent wood handles, and a canvas carrying strap. The interior is lined with metal for insulation and houses a removable ice compartment. The inside of one lid reads ‘Hawkeye, Burlington, Iowa’.

Condition

- chips, scratches, scuffs and discoloration throughout; wicker is broken in some spots; significant wear to underside.
