A collection of five original signed portrait paintings and drawings by listed Ohio artist Paul Ashbrook (1867 – 1949) . Ashbrook worked in New York, Cincinnati, Europe, and Mexico and is most known for his paintings, illustrations, and etchings. This collection includes one painting of a man resting after a hard day’s work, a pencil drawing of a man wearing a hat and blouse with puffy sleeves titled ‘Czechoslovakian Peasant,’ and ink drawing of a man hunched over with his hand in his pocket, and two ink drawings depicting an older man and an older woman, each wearing a sombrero and a cape. All pieces are signed by the artist to the lower right corners and are presented unframed.

- all images have damage to the edges and corners and toning to the images themselves.
