A Chippendale style secretary desk with Chinoiserie decoration. It has a broken arch top with center finial, over a pair of glass paned doors with geometric wooden overlay, which open to two adjustable shelves. Under the cabinet is a slant front secretary with interior cubbies, drawers, and a small cabinet. Under the secretary are four serpentine front drawers, stacked over short cabriole legs ending on ball and claw feet. The wooden piece is painted black, with gold tone accents and colorful scenes of Chinese life and flowers painted across the entirety.
