An original signed oil nude on canvas by listed artist Jonathan Queen (American, 20th century). The work depicts a reclining female nude, with her head wrapped in a salmon scarf, with her left arm bent across her waist, with gold and silver bangles around her arm. The nude is lying upon a blue gray cushion, with a deep coral arch framing her form, and atmospheric coral and olive background. The work is displayed in a vintage gilded frame with scroll textured band and decorative borders. The painting is signed with the artist’s monogram and date to the lower right corner, along with the artist’s name to the back. Jonathan Queen earned a BFA from DAAP at the University of Cincinnati and is known for his highly detailed still life paintings and mural works. He has been experimenting with the manipulation of sculptural objects in his still life pieces. His work is widely exhibited and collected with representation by Miller Gallery in Cincinnati.
