Vintage Lewis Golf Ball Washers
Item Details
A selection of six vintage Lewis golf ball washers. The upright rectangular galvanized metal tubs would have been attached to a pole and filled with water. A wooden plunger was used to hold the golf ball while it was lifted up and down to clean soil and debris from the surface. Each golf ball washer has a bracket attached to the back to hold it on a pole. They are embossed on the back Lewis Golf Ball Washer/ G.B. Lewis Co. Watertown, Wis./Pat. Nos. 1320.633-1.747,724’. There are six tubs and four wooden plungers.
Condition
- corrosion and other materials adhering to surfaces; only four plungers for six tubs.
