A selection of oil paintings on copper plates of genre scenes after artist Otto Von Thoren (1828-1889). These four miniature Impressionist paintings depict similar compositions of a lush shore overlooking a calm expanse of water with clustered buildings to the distance. To the center are two women adorned in rustic clothing seen in various poses conversing with one another. To the lower margins of each composition is a handwritten signature.
Condition
- wear to edges; tarnishing and painted residue to verso.
