Carved Chinese Wood Panel

Item Details

A Chinese carved wood panel. This panel is made from pine with a walnut stain and features carved vignettes of flowers and birds with pierced corner floral ornaments and dragon head mounts to either side. The bottom panel has two inscriptions with Chinese characters. One reads, ‘Second Month of Summer in the Sixth Year of the Republic’, dating the piece to 1917. Includes wire to the back for hanging.
