A chromolithograph on paper published by Hallen & Weiner N.Y. in 1896. This print depicts two fish, one smaller with a green back and fins and yellow belly and one long and blue with small, sharp fins, yellow spots, and sharp teeth. They are strung through their lower lips and hung from a nail. The print is signed in plate ‘Le Roy 1896’ to the lower left corner, underneath which the publisher is printed. It is presented behind glass in a wood frame that is wired for hanging.
Condition
- to fair; ink is lifting off around the image; dirt between glass and image; toning is present to paper; glass is pitted in various spots; paint is flaking off the wood, scratches and nicks around the frame.
