Antique Cast Iron Toy Fire Wagon, with two Drivers and Team of Galloping Horses

Antique cast iron toy fire wagon, with two firemen drivers and a team of three galloping horses. This is a working cast iron toy, with brass bell, four movable ladders that slide out the back of the wagon for play; the wagon wheels turn, and the horses are mounted on an axle with wheels below, so they move and appear to gallop as the wagon races to the fire. The paint appears to be original with touch ups to face detail; and all pieces appear to be present; this is a rare find.

Condition

Very good for age; some chips and wear to paint consistent with age and use. Chains are original, but chain ‘harness’ for center horse is missing.
