A sterling silver belt set by New Mexico-based American Silversmith, Douglas Magnus. This set includes a buckle, loops, and tip, and feature beveled, geometric designs and a high polish finish. Magnus studied with Native American Silversmiths after moving to Santa Fe in the late 1960s, is an Army Veteran, Videographer and Photographer, Painter, Sculptor, and Jewelry Maker. He acquired the Cerrillos Turquoise Mines after studying with the Native Americans, originally mined by indigenous peoples some 1000 years ago, and later by Tiffany & Company in the early 1900s.
