A 3D painted wood composition titled Swamp Surrender by Sal Guastella (American, 1950). The artwork is constructed of brightly painted wooden cut-outs arranged to depict a scene of alligators and fish against a swamp motif background . The frame in which it is presented is painted to match the scene and a horizontal brace across the center of the frame is part of the composition. The artwork is signed and dated ’87 at the lower right side. The title is written on the back, along with a dog bone logo, second signature, date, and three statements regarding protecting the environment. Wired for hanging.

Condition

- one spike from lower right corner has fallen off. Dusty.
