An oil copy painting on board after the original 18th-century work by French Rococo painter Jean-Honoré Fragonard, titled The Musical Contest. Signed ‘Pousse’ by hand to the lower right corner, the scene depicts a pair of men begging at the heels of a woman carrying a parasol, all in an exterior setting. The painting is presented in a gold tone wood frame. A wire for hanging purposes and decal with the title are present to the verso of the frame.

- abrasions at frame edges; mionr wear to frame.
