A signed original oil painting on board of a floral arrangement, by artist Martin Rettig (1869 – 1956). This well listed Ohio native artist specializes in floral still life paintings. After studying with Frank Duveneck, his art reflects a realistic yet free style of painting. This painting depicts a pink rose floral arrangement in a glass vase against a blue field. It is signed in red ‘M. Rettig’ to the lower right. The art is mounted in a floral carved gilt wood frame. A rear wire is included and is ready to hang.
