A collection of signed San Juan de Oriente, Nicaraguan art pottery. San Juan de Oriente is known as the village of pottery and includes numerous potters and family run workshops in the village of nearly 6,000 people. The collection includes a small teal vase with round squat shape, featuring an incised design of black and orange swans and sage tone foliage, and two cream tone ground mugs, one featuring a colorful incised design of a monkey, and the other featuring a colorful incised design of a bird in landscape. Each of the pieces is signed by the artist and noted the location of San Juan de Oriente, Nicaragua, to the underside.
