A vintage Chinese-style double pedestal writing desk, in a black painted finish featuring carved figural inlays and shell carved pulls. The piece, circa 1960, features two pedestals, a total of seven drawers, the fronts of which are graced with inlaid carved figures of persons and rocks, accented with paintings of flora. The sides are similarly decorated and the piece rests on shaped hoof feet.
