A reproduction of an original sculpture entitled ‘Motherhood’ by well-known American sculptor Bessie Potter Vonnoh (1872-1955). The original sculpture was produced in 1915 and is housed at the Art Institute of Chicago. This statue depicts a woman standing with two small children in front of her and a baby in her arms. The sculpture is made of resin and features an imprinted signature of the artist near the base.
Located to the underside of the base is a pasted clipping reading ‘B. The Cherished time in Motherhood is captured in the lovely, detailed depiction of a woman with her two young daughters and an infant. Rendering by famous sculptress, Bessie Potter Vonnoh, is handcrafted from resin. Work of art is distributed by Omnia, Inc. Original masterpiece is at the Art Institute of Chicago.
