Vintage Chinese Brass Silk Irons
Item Details
A pair of traditional brass Chinese silk irons. The pairing includes a brass iron with an ornately detailed design to the side of the bowl and a carved bone handle. It is marked ‘China’ to the bottom. Also included is a vintage aged brass iron with Chinese symbols to the bowl and a carved wooden handle. The irons are designed to hold hot coals or sand in the bowl to create a mild heat source to be used to press fine silk fabrics.
