Hand-Knotted Kazak Accent Rug
Item Details
A Kazak tribal accent rug. This wool rug is hand-knotted in a palette of madder red, ivory, shades of blue, and peach. It features two large, concentric memling medallions over a red field, which is bisected by a horizontal row of florets. Framing the field are five borders, including an arrowhead quatrefoil primary border over ivory and barber-pole minor borders. Selvedges are triple overcast. Ends finish with short kilim skirts in salmon, blue, and ivory, and long, braided wool warp fringe. The rug is unlabeled.
