An original oil painting on canvas by listed Canadian artist William Edward De Garthe (1907-1983). This marine painting depicts a large sailboat a sea in calm waters near a rocky shoreline. The work is signed in the lower right of the canvas. It is presented in a gold tone wood frame with canvas liner. A short artist bio and hanging wire are found on the verso.
