A circa 1940s Modernist sterling silver carnelian flower bracelet by Alphonse La Paglia (1907 – 1953). This piece features a sterling blossom with a carnelian center, housed in a border of applied silver beading. The blossom attaches to a cable link chain with two large sterling sphere accents. La Paglia was born in Sicily, and went on to study Metalsmithing with Georg Jensen, and later developed a relationship with the prestigious International Silver Company.
