A polished aluminum kinetic sculpture by self-taught modern sculptor Charles Taylor (American, 20th century). Three pieces of curvilinear aluminum balance on top of one another with sharpened tips. At rest, the three-dimensional sculpture exemplifies grace and balance with a resting pulse that comes to life at the slightest motion. As the rhythm of the motion takes hold, light and shadow begin to change and evolve with every movement of the piece. Signed to the lower base ‘Charles Taylor’ with his emblem appearing to the left and numbered ‘302’ above the emblem. Included with the sculpture is an original pamphlet on the artist. The sculpture appears upon a black formica base.
