An antique Victorian Eastlake side chair with a contemporary cylinder roll secretary desk. The mixed wood, walnut-stained chair features a contoured, floral-carved crest above two conforming, horizontal slats. The padded seat is upholstered in later, purple fabric and the chair rises on ring-turned, front legs joined by a spindled, box-stretcher to the raking back legs. The lot also comes with a secretary desk. It features a honey finish and is decorated with a multi-colored floral bouquet and spray. It has a rectangular top above a cylinder roll concealing pigeonholes. Directly below is a single drawer and the desk rises on square, fluted legs. The back retains a sticker marked ‘Made in China’.
