A copy painting of Susan Herbert’s adaptation of Dante Gabriel Rossetti, titled La Ghirlandata. This oil painting on canvas depicts jovial cats nestled in a classically composed garden, with a central, robed feline clutching at a large harp covered in salmon toned flowers. To the lower left corner of the composition is an illegible artist signature. The painting is presented in a green wooden frame featuring moulded patterning to the surface and a gold tone inner border. To the verso is affixed hanging wire.
