A signed original drawing on paper of monsters from 1888. This drawing is rendered in graphite and depicts a group of fantastical winged monsters with scrolling and foliate detail. The drawing is signed to the lower left and appears to read ‘H. Barnutzi.’ It is also dated to the lower right ‘Apr. 15, 1888.’ The drawing is presented unframed.

Condition

Crease in the left hand side where it was pieced together on the backer board; dirt and stains throughout the image background; edges are tattered and parts torn away; signature in the left hand lower side – attributed to H. Barnutzi [?]
