1942 Italian M1891 Carcano Bayonet, Scabbard and Leather Sheath
Item Details
A M1891 bayonet. These pieces were manufactured by fascist Italy and were made as attachments for the Mannlicher-Carcano M1891/41 bolt action rifles. The bayonet comes with the original scabbard and is secured to a dark brown leather sheath which secures the bayonet and scabbard using a custom made button hole and a buckle clasp on the handle. The maker’s mark ‘Rocca 1942’ and ‘V 693’ are stamped on either side of the cross guard.

Condition
- wear and tarnish present on the blade; the front of the scabbard is completely degraded and the end cap is missing; heavy wear and fading present on the sheath; a custom drilled hole is present on the sheath for the scabbard clip to fit through; various degrees of wear to the other pieces and parts.

- measured the bayonet in the scabbard and sheath; the bayonet blade measures approximately 8" in length.
