A Herend porcelain figural group with a breastfeeding mother and goat, Hungary. Two nurturing mothers appear together as the woman exposes her breast to feed her swaddled infant child mounted on a goat whose kid suckles at her teat. Hand painted with rich color and foliage around the base. Marked to the underside with a blue stamp and impressed ‘HEREND’ mark. Inscribed by hand ‘5708.’
