A square oak end table by Cushman Colonial Furniture. The tabletop with molding edging overhangs a frame rising on four turned columnar supports resting on a flat lower shelf. The entire table rises on four bun feet.

Henry Theodore Cushman, Civil War veteran and inventor of the pencil eraser, expanded his mail-order novelty business into a furniture manufacturer, incorporating Cushman Colonial Furniture in Bennington, Vermont, in 1899. After his death in 1930, the company continued operations until its closure in 1980.
