Item Details

A Whittall’s machined Wilton weave Anglo-Persian area rug. The rug displays a Chinese inspired field of flowing clouds, flying birds, and vibrant flora. The field is framed by a stylized floral border. The rug is executed in rich shades of saffron, black, blush, and lavender. The selvedge is secured and it has a decorative, plaited wool fringe to the ends. It is marked to verso by maker.
