World War II Era Friedman Silver Co. Silver Plated Serving Pieces
Item Details
A pair of World War II era silver plated serving pieces from Friedman Silver Co. The Neoclassical lidded sugar bowl and cream pitcher feature wide shoulders with dentil motifs, arching handles, and bodies that taper to pedestal bases. They are marked underneath with the pictorial heraldic makers mark, ‘EPNS’, and ‘1760’. They are also double marked ‘USN’, for the United States Navy.
Condition
- fair; some minor surface wear with markings and tarnishing, particularly to the interior; creamer has area of significant silver loss on one side.
