A framed vintage vintage Japanese shin-hanga woodblock print of birds resting in trees by Ashikaga Shizuo (足利静雄, 1917-1991) titled Dusky Ouzel and Pine Tree. Shizuo Ashikaga was active in the 1950s. The print is a depiction of a pair of Dusky Ouzels perching in a pine branch. The colorful migratory birds visit the area around Yokohama during the winter. The work was pulled at the Uchida Atelier in Kyoto, Japan. It has been double matted with a pale pink liner, and is framed under glass in a speckled gold tone frame with a picture wire. The print is stamped in red and black in the lower right corner and there is a label attached to the reverse.
