A signed Colombian folk art embroidered tapestry by Florentina Dominguez of the Janguana Workshop. This tapestry depicts a rural village scene with tall cactuses and trees on which different colored birds are perched. Houses, roads, crop fields and gardens, rabbits, chickens, and other livestock are all a part of the life of this town. Other details include carved wood shovels which are tied by thread to the embroidered villagers and a baby tucked away in a plaid blanket. Signed at the bottom ‘Taller la Janguana Narino Colombia Florentina Dominguez’.
