Item Details
A hooked Provencal area rug by Capel. This Chinese-made wool rug is rendered in a palette of poppy red, tangerine, and cobalt. It features a red lozenge over a cobalt field, both regions filled with lillies, poppies, and other flowers and foliage. Framing the field is a wide primary border grounded in cobalt and populated with flowers at the same scale as those in the field. Edges are serged on all sides. The rug is marked on the reverse.
