Award Artist, Anna Mitchell, Cherokee Designed pottery vase. The small vase or pot is beige with decorative swirls. It is signed on the bottom ‘Anna Mitchell 1977’. Included is a newspaper article on the pottery. The article describes how the artist’s pottery is made by an ancient hand-shaped method using ancient Cherokee Designs. She is the only Cherokee in Oklahoma making authentic decorated pottery. She was an award winner in the Five Civilized Tribes Museum.
