An original 1996 ink cartoon illustration prototype by contemporary American cartoonist Jim Borgman (born 1954), best-known for his political cartoons, illustrations for the Cincinnati Enquirer, and the comic strip Zits. The image is headlined, Hidden Features on the New HUNDRED to Trip Up Those Foreign Counterfeiters, followed by a satirical illustration of Borgman’s rendition of the new one-hundred-dollar bill. Artist signature is signed to the upper left of the drawing and to the outer mat to the lower right with a personal inscription. This work is mounted under coordinating matting, under museum glass in a beveled wood frame with a green stained finish, equipped to hang.
