Item Details
A ceremonial dance spear from the South Pacific. Consists of a long segmented wooden shaft terminating in a carved black wood human form crouching on a ball. Attached to the base of the ball is a wavy metal spear point reminiscent of the Indonesian flame-bladed kris dagger. Also included is a black wooden cap for the spear, carved with a semi-human face and wavy etchings.
Condition
- wooden cap is split near top; blade is rusted; some wear to finish.
