A pair of offset lithographs on paper after illustrations by Edward Lear titled, Eagle Owl and White Headed Eagle. One of the prints depicts a solitary owl perched on a branch. The other print depicts two fierce birds interacting with each other. The prints are signed in-plate to the lower right margins and inscribed with the title to the lower center margins. They are matted in blue and presented behind glass in black wooden frames with a paper backing and a metal hook for hanging to the versos. Affixed to the versos is a sticker that reads ‘Lyman Bros’.
Condition
- foxing to mats; nicks and scratches to frame’s; tears to the paper backings; frame glass would benefit from cleaning.
