Antique Early American Salt Glazed Stoneware Pitcher

Item Details

An antique early American stoneware pitcher. Unmarked, the pitcher features a dark brown salt glaze with a spout at the top and an applied handle perpendicular to the spout. It has a ‘turkey dropping’ accent located near the handle along the front, created when the salt film in the top of the kiln would drip onto the ware being fired.

- wear and use consistent with age, crazing present, small chip present.
