A hand colored stipple point engraving after an original watercolor titled Two Children With a Picture Book by Rudolph Geudtner (German, 1811-1892). This vintage intaglio print depicts two children in Edwardian garb seated on a cushion and enjoying a picture book. The child in the foreground holds the book in her lap while her gaze is directed toward the left of the composition. A second barefoot child in red looks on over her shoulder. The print is presented under glass in an ornate gold tone gesso painted wood frame. A hanging wire is mounted to the verso.

- toning to print; tarnish to gold tone finish particularly liner; cracks and nicks to frame.
