A grouping of modern United States commemorative coins and currency. Featured are ten sets of two coins each including a 1992S Congress Bicentennial Proof Half Dollar and a 1989S Columbus Quincentenary Commemorative Proof Half Dollar. These coins have a 75% copper and 25% nickel plating over copper center composition. Each weighs 11.340g and measures 30.60mm. The Congress Bicentennial coin was designed by William Woodard and 767,897 were minted. The Columbus Quincentenary coin was designed by T. James Ferrell and Thomas D. Rogers and 390,154 were minted. Other coins included in this grouping are a 1998 five-coin set in folio with penny, nickel, dime, quarter and half dollar, six 2004-2006 uncirculated nickels, seven uncirculated state quarters (2007-2013), and one 2007D James Madison Presidential Dollar. The dollar coin was designed by Don Everhart and 780,000 were minted. It is 88% copper and weighs 8.10g, measuring 26.50mm. These thirty-nine total coins are presented in plastic cases, Littleton packages or a folio. Completing the lot are three 1976 Series Two Dollar Federal Reserve Notes with United States Bicentennial postage stamps and April 14, 1976 postmarks. Their serial numbers are D 03265687 A, D 03265690 A and D 03265696 A.
