Towle Sterling Silver Flatware in the "Candlelight" Pattern

A vintage sterling silver flatware set by Towle in the Candlelight pattern first patented in 1934. The set includes: six modern hollow handled knives (8.5’), six new French hollow handled knives (8.75’), twelve place forks (7.25’), twelve salad forks (6.5’), fourteen teaspoons (6.0’), eight round bowl soup spoons (6.25’), eight hollow handled butter knives (5.5’), one hollow handled master butter knife, three cold meat serving forks, three serving/tablespoons, one pierced serving/tablespoon, two gravy ladles, one hollow handled pie server, a two-piece hollow handled carving set, one berry casserole serving spoon, one cocktail/seafood fork, one sugar spoon, one lemon fork, and one pierced bon bon spoon. The whole set includes a Reed & Barton wood storage case with tarnish preventative cloth which has a plaque to the lid and is monogrammed, ‘DMN’. Excluding the hollow-handled items with stainless steel elements, the total weight for the set is 76.515 ozt.
