1970's Tiara Exclusives Black Amethyst Glass
Item Details
A fifteen piece assortment of black amethyst glass by Tiara Exclusives. The body was first produced in the depression era. The otherwise black appearing glass holds a secret when exposed to a light, a deep purple hue is revealed. The scarce examples were revived in the 1970’s by Tiara Exclusives an Indiana glass works selling via the home party method. The collection is composed of a decanter, candy dish, two pitchers, a cream and sugar set, cups, bowls, a vase and candle holders all in various pattern including pressed leaves and a smooth body with scalloped edges.
