Item Details

An antique Victorian Rococo Revival side chair, circa 1840-1875. The walnut frame features a rose-carved crest above a horizontal, rose-carved splat. The deep blue, needlepoint seat is patterned with a multi-colored, floral bouquet surrounded by scrolled foliates and floral sprays. The chair rises on cabriole, front legs centered by a bowed, rose-carved apron.

Condition

- scattered scratches, scuffs, and nicks to frame; some minor wear to needlepoint seat; missing dust cover on underside of seat.
