Porcelain Napoleon "Bataille de Wagram" Cabinet Plate

An porcelain cabinet plate with a portrait of Napoleon titled, Bataille of Wagram after a painting by Émile Jean-Horace Vernet (French, 1789 – 1863). At the center of the plate is an image of Napoleon on horseback surrounded by officers and generals overlooking the battle. The center is surrounded by a blue border with gilt wreathes, stars, and torches. The plate is marked on the verso ‘Bataille of Wagram’ with a crowned ‘N’.
